Adjusting & Polishing

Adjusting the fret level is business as usual. Not much to tell about. Because the instrument will be tuned a half-tone lower I adjusted the trusrod and the set up according to these requirements.

Next the instrument was sanded and after four sessions of polishing brought to high gloss.

The cavities for the pickups were painted with a special shielding paint. Regarding the fact that it is a Thinline on which the potis area cannot be insulated this would not have been necessary. But the benefit does not hurt to try. Finally the fretboard was oiled.

Now we can go the assembly.
